At least that was the plan... two track days in a row with the Ducati Owner's Club of Canada and the Twisty-Sisterz at Mosport Intl Raceway. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate with the plan and we barely made it onto the track before getting soaked

It was still a lot of fun and we'll definitely do it again next year!

Sui Yan-what a cool woman !!
Hmmm wish I could control the weather 0)
Here in Japan now its rainy season so its been raining for some days and soooo humid, it blows
Hope you guys make it another day!!

Since I wasn't "officially" attending the convention, Today I got to go out and explore St. Louis for a few hours while Siu Yan was in classes. I chose the Forest Park area because it had so many museums and other things to see. I ended up walking 14.5 miles (23.3 km) and still didn't see it all!! The place is huge. All of these pictures (except for lunch and dinner) are in the Forest Park area.

wow, it's really a great trip Wed 26-May-2004 13:10

Today Siu Yan, Hugh, Suzanna and I took the bus to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery for a free tour. I took a lot GREAT pictures, but accidently deleted them all from my memory card! I was able to salvage most of them later with a file recovery program, but a handful of really nice ones are still missing Later in the evening we attended the Official Opening Ceremony and afterwards, a welcoming dinner/reception on the historic Eads Bridge. The city closed down the bridge just for us!

The brewery tour was much more fun than I expected because the grounds were so beautiful and it's always a wonder to see a Clydsdale horse in real life! They are magnificent.

The arch does strange things to you in St. Louis. Every where you look, you think you see arches in the waterfalls, architecture and sidewalks.

Eads bridge was a wonderful event. Those young adults were so talented. We had a wonderful time.

The Arch is magnificent and quite spectacular in this hot and humid city of St. Louis. We did the touristy thing and tried the toasted ravioli which was quite yummy!

Bit of history: During the Great Flood of 1993, the Mississipi crested at 49 feet, 7 inches at St. Louis, the flow of water equaled eleven times the volume of Niagara Falls and engulfed the steps at the Gateway Arch. The flood destroyed 55,000 homes and ranks as the 5th largest disaster relief effort ever undertaken by the American Red Cross.

Looks so much fun The Arch is amazing!
Thx for telling us the history!

I also have to give plugs to Hugh and the Greater Cleveland Chapter. They won the Disability Leadership award which doesn't mean a whole lot unless you understood what they did.

Through community partnership and building relationships, the Red Cross agreed provide persons with developmental disablities with on the job training opportunites such as clerical tasks and office support. The partnership was with a local agency called Vocational Guidance Services that was looking for a community agency to help train their "clients" and through their referals, the Red Cross benefits from (1) additional help with office work (2) helps those with developmental disabilites find rewarding employment and (3) adheres to their mission in building and developing community relationships. See what they did? Now what can YOU do??

Wow! We had the best 1st Anniversary ever

Siu Yan surprised me with a demo instruction flight at Burke Lakefront Airport (isn't she the best? ( ) I thought it would be an airtour around downtown or something, but I actually ended up doing 85% of the flying! Did need a bit of help with the landing though hehe.

I haven't been flying in yeaaaaars.

Then we had a wonderful dinner at Sans Souci and caught the opening show of FAME at Playhouse Square. It was a great show with an excellent cast and an amazing set. More detail later, but I did take a handful of pics....

Happy Anniversary Guys!

Hope all is going well for you. Looks like it!

Really cool reference to a certain indie film with Mr. Murray in Japan! Nothing's lost in THIS translation.

Is that a Cessna 150? I got my Private Pilot's license in one of those! Except there was nothing electronic in there except for the radios. You have a fancy modern airplane!

Hey Nels, thanks for stopping by! It was a 172sp, practically brand new, with IFR / Dual NavCom / 4 Pl Intercom / G-S / IFR Color GPS / 2 Axis Autopilot. Lots of toys in that one and a very smooth ride. When did you get your PPL?? Wed 12-May-2004 18:15

Just some pictures from my balcony this morning. The sounds of construction outside woke me up! I'm not sure what they are doing down there. The "garden" is coming along well enough, I'm just waiting for the seeds to sprout!

Nice View from your balcony. I only see other flats from my balcony. It's so nice to haf so many plants in your balcony. Can haf fresh herbs anytime to enhance your food Fri 30-Apr-2004 17:17

Siu Yan and I helped out at the Red Cross refreshment booth at the Marathon today. We handed out water and Powerade to hundreds of thirsty runners. It was pretty fun, despite all of the rain!

yah, must be fun... or should be tiring yet fun and meaningful Mon 26-Apr-2004 13:55

Handing out water and powerade is a marathon in itself. My body still recovering from the clean up! Thanks to my husband for his willingness to help out, it sure was fun! I'm glad we got pictures to show. And thanks for putting them up promptly! Mon 26-Apr-2004 16:52
