Winter In Grand River, OH

View all 4 photos...
Grand River, Ohio is a small town on the shores of Lake Erie, close to where I work. They have a nice sandy beach and a small, but busy dock.

It's never snowed here. I went to Beijing last year in December, it's the first time for me to see the real snow. Crazy Wed 17-Dec-2003 03:17

Siu Yan and I picked up some groceries at the West Side Market today. Its a very famous Old World style market on W. 25th street, which is now considered a "trendy" location.

Sunday morning with my family's weekly tai chi routines. My aunt and uncle demonstrated their skillz. In the backroom, we got a chance to check out the precious Dragon and Lion heads upclose to see how they scare away the demons for the Chinese New Year!

I'm pretty sure Kenny and his mask have appeared in my nightmares of past Mon 1-Dec-2003 15:27

Richard and 2 Year old Sadie

Some battery problems with our camera so not as many pictures as we would have liked. Before heading for brunch at the Windsor Casino with my Aunt Lily and Uncle Albert, we visited with their son Richard and his family (wife - Amanda). They have a beautiful 2 year old girl named Sadie who we met for the first time. I played Mr. Potato head with her and then we went to have brunch at the casino where afterwards, Dorjan played the slots for a hot minute and browsed at the gift shop. We spent the rest of the afternoon visiting Trevor and Maria's new baby, Arianna.

oh man, those maternal instincts just kicked in upon seeing how CUTE that baby is ... Mon 1-Dec-2003 16:46

Some pictures of our Thanksgiving Day with family and friends

Siu Yan: AMERICAN THANKSGIVING: More food than Canadian TG, macroni and cheese, collard greens, potatoe salad and cornbread. Christmas music, too! Don't ask me why. One of the best TG I have ever had! Fried turkey was a big hit!

Princess Juliana, hmm basically you get ALL your family together and eat as much as you can; that's pretty much an American tradition, usually with a turkey...If you are black, then you add collard greens, macroni and cheese, potatoe salad, candied yams...if you are chinese, then you forget all the hours of food prep and cooking and cleaning the house and go dim sum (chinese brunch) and yum cha (drink tea)! -Siu Yan Mon 1-Dec-2003 02:09

i understand being prepared... but 6 pairs of oven mitts and 4 aprons seems a bit much. i must admit the turkey does look good though. Wed 3-Dec-2003 08:56
