We spent our New Year's Eve in Toronto, celebrating the arrival of 2004 with thousands of other ppl at City Hall. On New Year's Day, we hung out with Amy and her best buddy Chris at the Ice Skating rink at the Harbourfront. A great way to bring in the New Year!

Lake Effect Snow

Often during the winter, cold winds from Canada will blow over Lake Erie, picking up moisture and dumping it on us in the form of snow... sometimes LOTS of snow.
Note: That's not blur or glare in the photos, its blowing snow......

We were invited to celebrate holiday spirits with the Sylvia and her family. We were treated to good ole fashioned Cuban food: pork, rice and beans, yuca and salad. Lots of dessert, great convo and fun atmosphere. Thanks, Sylvia!!! (Sorry, Sylvia, some of the pictures turned out blurry so we didn't post them.)
